Well, in my school we are on the down hill slide. Our students only have 24 days, the paras have 25 days and 26 for teachers. It has finally gotten warm enough to be outside for some school activities. In one of the classes, we walked down to the outdoor classroom. For those of you who do not know we have a large bog/pond about 1/4 of mile behind the school. We have benches and tables made from the wood found around the pond. Some of the teachers take their classes down and teach their lessons there. It is a very peaceful and quiet spot to be able to be outside and think. To get to our pond you have to walk around the baseball field down the path to the wooden fence to the pond.

Hello all,
Hope everyone had a good weekend. The weather here in New Hampshire has finally gotten warm. The flowers are up and beautiful. One of the teacher blogs (Third Grade Thoughts) that I follow is having a giveaway if you want to enter. I love her blog as I been able to get some great ideas from it. Have a good week.

Working on a social studies until for 6th graders. I am thinking about lesson in world cultures that focuses on the understanding of the diversity of values, beliefs, and practices of individuals and groups over time. I am thinking of Rome as I know that the 6th grade studies this part of the world. It would be interesting to have them compare some of lifestyles of the Romans to that of today's culture.

Hello all,
My name is Susan Casper. I am currently a special education paraprofessional and working on getting degree in Elementary Education and General Special Education. I have been a paraprofessional for over 10 years and love it. I live in New Hampshire, love my coffee and watching the sunset over the ocean.
I currently care for my mom and my 21 year old cat Bear. Some of my favorite things are history, reading, hiking and being with my family.
